Research experiences: 
During his tenure at Huazhong Agricultural University, he presided over more than 20 scientific research projects such as the National 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Central Agricultural Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Project, and the Wuhan Municipal Application Fundamental Project, and enjoyed special research subsidies in Wuhan. It has won 12 provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress first prizes, second prizes, third prizes, and promotion first prizes. 6 new varieties of tomato, 4 new varieties of Ganlan and 2 new varieties of radish were selected. Published more than 30 papers. Major achievements have been made in tomato molecular marker development and molecular marker assisted breeding. Construct and develop tomato disease resistance gene markers or linkage markers, use molecular marker-assisted breeding technology to combine with traditional breeding methods, select new tomato varieties with multiple resistance, and promote them on a large scale. A breakthrough was made in the cloning and molecular mechanism of tomato resistance genes.
